The Cast of High Strange New Mexico
Gabe Valdez
The late Gabe Valdez is one of the key figures in the New Mexico UFO phenomenon. He was a New Mexico State Police officer stationed in the Dulce area when the first reports of cattle mutilations in northern New Mexico began surfacing in the 1970s. He later befriended Paul Bennewitz and became a leading authority on the legendary Dulce underground base. In this movie, Gabe recounts his experiences with Bennewitz and explains why the death of Phil Schneider, a murky figure who claims to have helped build the base and witness a battle between aliens and U.S. military, was more likely a murder, and not the suicide that officials determined it to be.
